Terms

Terms and conditions

These terms apply to every stay at Chambreplus, Hoogpoort 31, 9000 Ghent. Last updated on 2 September 2026.

Booking and payment

You book a room through our booking platform, accessible via the “Book your stay” button on this site. When you complete your booking, you immediately receive a confirmation by email.

Depending on the rate you choose, you pay the full amount when booking (non-refundable rate) or part of it in advance. As soon as we have received your payment, we will send you the information you need for your arrival. The room price shown does not include the municipal tourist tax, which you pay on site.

Arrival and departure

Personal check-in is possible between 9am and 5pm. If your room isn’t ready yet when you arrive (2pm at the latest), you can safely leave your luggage with us and head into the city. Chambreplus shares the building with the travel agency Kriski Plus: if you arrive during office hours, Kato, our contact person, will welcome you personally. If you arrive later and we have already received your payment, we will send you a personal code for the front door.

Check-out is at 10am. On Sundays we don’t enforce a fixed check-out time, so you’re welcome to stay until the afternoon. When you leave, simply hang the keys on the door.

Cancellation policy

Non-refundable rate: better value, but not refundable if you cancel.

All other rates: free cancellation up to 14 days before arrival. Cancelling within 14 days of arrival incurs a charge of one night’s stay.

If you need to cancel, we recommend contacting your own travel insurance first, so that a small guesthouse like Chambreplus isn’t left covering the cost of unforeseen changes.

Parking

We have a private underground car park within walking distance, at 26 euros per night (public car park: 28 euros). Let us know in advance if you would like to reserve a parking space.

House rules and liability

As a guest, you have access to your room and to the shared city garden. We ask you to treat the building and its contents with care. Damage caused during your stay, beyond normal wear and tear, may be charged.

Chambreplus is an entirely non-smoking building. Pets are not allowed. The maximum number of guests varies per room, as indicated for each room on the booking platform.

Chambreplus is not liable for loss, theft or damage to guests’ personal belongings, except in the case of demonstrable negligence on our part.

In accordance with Belgian regulations for accommodation providers, we ask you to register your identity details on arrival.

Applicable law and complaints

These terms and every stay at Chambreplus are governed by Belgian law. Do you have a complaint about your stay? Please contact us directly first at info@chambreplus.be, so we can find a solution together.
