Practical Info
Good to know before your stay
Everything you’d want to know beforehand about arrival, departure and the neighbourhood around Chambreplus.
Accessibility: no lift
Chambreplus is located in a historic building without a lift. The rooms can only be reached via a wooden spiral staircase. Please keep this in mind if you have limited mobility.
Restaurants, bars and activities
We’ve gathered our favourite spots nearby: cosy cafés, great restaurants and the best things to do in Ghent.
Getting to Chambreplus
By car
Ghent has a low-traffic centre and a Low Emission Zone. Check in advance whether your car is allowed in and how the city’s traffic circulation plan works.
Parking
Chambreplus doesn’t have its own parking on-site, but we do offer a private underground parking spot within walking distance (Watergraafstraat, close to Indian Curry House restaurant). Important: the parking and Chambreplus are on opposite sides of the pedestrian zone. So drive to the parking first, then walk to Chambreplus from there: your GPS may show you’ve arrived when you actually haven’t yet.
Parking costs €26 per night. Want to reserve a parking spot? Just let us know in advance, and we’ll send you the access code and the right instructions.
By public transport
Coming by train from Brussels, Antwerp, Kortrijk, Bruges or Ostend? Get off at Gent-Sint-Pieters and take tram 1 towards Wondelgem/Evergem to Korenmarkt or Gravensteen. Or get off at Gent-Dampoort, from where it’s about a 15-minute walk to Chambreplus.
Check-in and check-out
Check-in
Personal check-in is possible between 9am and 5pm. If your room isn’t ready yet when you arrive (2pm at the latest), you can safely leave your luggage with us and head into the city.
Check-out
Check-out is at 10am. On Sundays we don’t enforce a fixed check-out time, so you’re welcome to stay until the afternoon. When you leave, simply hang the keys on the door.
Cancellation policy
- Non-refundable rate: better value, but not refundable if you cancel.
- All other rates: free cancellation up to 14 days before arrival. Cancelling within 14 days of arrival incurs a charge of one night’s stay.
If you need to cancel, we recommend contacting your own travel insurance first, so that a small guesthouse like Chambreplus isn’t left covering the cost of unforeseen changes.
